A fox has been caught in a cage of the Rijksinstituut voor Natuurbeheer (State Institute for Nature Conservation) at the Veluwe and is equiped with a transmitter by employees of the institute. By doing this they're trying to establish the behaviour of foxes to be able to do research on the possible spread of rabies by foxes. The foxes are followed by a car that has been equiped with a receiver and the locations of the burrows are set down. After a burrow has been discovered, it is dug out. The young foxes that are found are equiped with an earmark. The mother fox also receives a transmitter. After that they're all put back in the burrow.
