A corporate film about the municipal gasworks in The Hague (the Gemeente Gasfabrieken te 's-Gravenhage). The film consists of two parts: 1. The new gasworks on the Trekweg 2. The old gasworks on the Loosduinsche Weg In both the old and the new gas plants, we see how the ovens are used, and how the gas is purified. The film contains many images of heavy machinery, conveyor belts, crane trolleys, raw materials, smoke, fire, and toiling workers.
